Pup Pub - Dog Park Bar Proposal

( Marisol & Aero, Jackson Bark, Jackson Park, Chicago 2018 )

At first glance, you might think the idea of mixing a bar/cafe with a dog park (and other dog related services) would be misguided but it's an idea that is growing and for good reason. Getting quality daily social time and exercise in for both pupparent and pup alike is a real challenge and often rushed short in hopes of getting back home to eat, watch tv and catch up with friends (via phone/social-media) before retiring for the day... but what if you could do it all without the rush, in one place, at one time, everyday/evening, with more quality time to spend with your pup and friends, no matter the weather?

Much like the added convenience of grocery stores building in adjacent services ie pharmacy, eye center, tire center, fast food, gas station etc Getting your tires balanced while having your prescription filled while shopping for groceries, saves customers a lot of time and money in travel... and in turn has been a boon for those businesses that have consolidated all these common to-do list errands into one convenient location. Same could be said for the new rapidly expanding market of "bark park bars" that provide day care, grooming, diy dog wash stations, training, private park access, mini pet shop with merch and essentials, food/drink and entertainment (multiple big screen TVs, music and ambiance)

With over a decade of experience in designing, building and maintaining community dog parks, throwing special events (social and educational) on a shoestring... with proper funding and hired talent in staff i know we can create a truly unique and memorable experience for pup's and their puparents.

To get the ball rolling, i have two great names claimed/reserved/registered; Pup Pub and Wagsworth, a general location scouted out that's within walking distance of three universities and a short driving distance within a growing metro area of nearly a million people and have over 40 establishments across the country mapped out in research to draw inspiration and best safety/business practices from:
